Responsibilities:
- Perform clerical duties and provide administrative support to the unit - Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner - Answer phone calls, take messages, and transfer calls to appropriate staff members - Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information - Schedule appointments and coordinate patient admissions and discharges - Assist with ordering and maintaining office supplies - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth operations of the unit
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a unit secretary or in a similar administrative role preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Proficient in using office equipment, including computers, printers, and fax machines Note:
